Teen-Aged daughter woke up with painful lump in breast

My 17 yo daughter woke up several days ago and complained about her breast being very sore and tender. She showed me that there is a soft and VERY tender harder than normal spot on her breast. There is no discoloration of her skin, she is not sexually active either. She does suffer with ovarian cysts and can have somewhat irregular cycles. The skin is also not hot. Otherwise she seems well enough. (I currently do not have health insurance as I am between providers- should be good to go in about a week so I don't have the funds to take her to the dr over this) Over the last two days the pain has remaind the same and she feels that the spot is larger than it was. My question is what could this be? Also hot compresses seem to provide her some relief. Please help!

    @ danielle14107 - she just started her cycle this morning.

    Sounds like it might be a cyst. If her cycle has started it might ease up. It might need draining so get it checked out when you can
