The Internal Buzz / Vibration

Posted , 14 users are following.

There are so many messages here that it's hard to keep track of... On March 20, 2018 I started feeling dizzy or lightheaded in the car.. It progressed with heart palpitations, weakness, the internal vibrations and the list goes on.  I've been to an ENT, an opthalmologist, 2 neurologists (MRI of the spine and head and EMG and ANT testing), a cardiologist (EKG and stress test, and electrophysiologist, physical therapist that specializes in dizziness, Infectious Disease doctor (to test for Lyme), an accupuncturist, chiropractor, and now.. because of these discussions.. an OB/GYN to check my hormones.. She did find that my levels are way off, but unlike everyone else here.. I'm POST menopausal.. 6 months now.. and no doctor has found anything.  I'm at my wits end.. I can almost deal with the vibration.. but the days that my hands shake and my neck feels weak (head shaky).. and my legs feel like they're going to collapse underneath me.. and then with the daily occasional brief dizziness.... I'm getting really annoyed... My job is 40 miles from my house and I'm having to get rides because I'm scared to death something will happen worse than the 1 or 2 second dizzy feeling.. Sooooooooo tired of this.  I don't really want to take hormones because of what they can do to you.. But I do have an internal estrogen cream that I use for thinned tissue inside.. I had stopped using it just because..well.. it's kinda messy.. but I think I'll start again to see if it helps with these other symptoms...  I haven't read where anyone else here is experiencing the dizziness.

Hi, you obviously didn’t check the archives because there are thousands of posts on dizziness and all the other symptoms you have. Some ladies get hit in peri, some in post, and some very unlucky get symptoms in both.

I wonder if you brought on some severe symptoms by stopping the estrogen cream? Maybe you needed to wean yourself off?

I’ve had all of your symptoms and went thru the gamut of testing as well. I’m the sickest healthiest person around! Or maybe the other way around?  It’s very frustrating. Hope you feel better soon!

Well I guess I should have said that I didn't see anything on dizziness in the post that I could see. I'm pretty new to this and I don't even know how to get to the archives yet...but I will..And no, I had stopped the cream long before all this started.. and I did ween off of it. I was only used in a very tiny amount anyway just for that 1 sensitive spot I have. It was never the full dosage like as on the prescription. My doctor had just said to use a tiny little blob.. But again.. I stopped using that long before all this started but if it is menopausal.. maybe starting it back up would help a some.

    Jready,

Been there and know exactly what you’re going through. Since I stopped getting my periods 10 months ago I feel so much better. I feel like my hormones leveled off. No more anxiety and health scares. I just turned 56 last week and I really felt good for the first times in years. Hang in there!!

That's the part that's different for me from all the other comments I have read though that apparently there some in the archives from women that this is happened to that are post menopause. I had a hysterectomy back in 2008 and haven't had a. Since. So I've been void of periods for 10 years and my doctor says I'm postmenopausal so apparently this can happen before or after periods.

That’s great to hear Nancy.  Encouraging.  How long were you in peri?  I am 46.  Started about 3 years ago

Yes I’ve had it for 11 years ... it’s awful and I believe ALL anxiety ! What you wrote is exactly the fear I’ve had for all those years ... passing out or fainting .

It’s a hard cross to bear but I believe all about the decline in hormones . I think the patch helps a bit with that .... but if you don’t want to go on hormones you’ll have to do Xanax or Valium.

I’ve limited my life and it’s no fun but I don’t want to be on pills all the time .

    Jready,

I have been battling vertigo with menopause for 2 1/2 yrs.  56 now and menopause started at 48 for me.  The dizzy is the worst part of this whole process.  I too have been to every doctor, had every lab test, mri’s, cat scans etc etc.  Nothing shows up yet I feel awful and always feel like I’m off balance and feel like I’m being pulled to the ground.  So strange.

So sorry to hear/read your story. I did all those tests too but relief only came when I started bioidentical HRT, cbd oil and magnesium. Maybe think about giving HRT a go! You can always stop if it doesn’t help you and the damage this constant stress is doing to your body can’t be good either. Good luck

    Hello,

You have described so many symptoms I have experienced while on this menopause journey. I am 6 years post-menopause and I am sorry to say still in the thick of all of this craziness. The last 2 years have been as bad or worse than when it all started in 2009. The vibration feeling is enough to send you running for the hills 😊

Your is the first post I have read that actually states you have a shaky head. Most of the posts are about the internal shaking, which I have also, but it’s the outward shaking that I can see that is so hard to bare. It’s definitely worse if I become the least bit stressed, which seems to be on a regular basis these days. Just know you are not alone. This forum is a great place to get information from ladies who are experiencing a lot of the same menopause symptoms. I pray how soon we all come out on the other side. Hang in there and take care. GOD Bless 🙏🏻
