Thickned Uterine lining... endometrial biopsy

Hi ya’all, absence of mensie for about a year now. Normal pap in June 2018, slight pink bleeding a year to the date of my last mensies. Doc ordered a transvaginal sono which showed thickening Ofntje uterine wall, he suggested a endometrial biopsy. Completed today not bad at all, just worried about the results 7-10 days of anguish. Has anyone had thickened uterus without bleeding?

I have constant thick lining !  Still have period .  Had multiple biospies all have been normal .  Going for next scan next week so could get biopsy again .  Prometrium stops it

hi Jill.  Do you take the promethium for it?  And do you think this is common in peri?

I've been taking progesterone cream to help with the thickened uterus, and yes, it is very common in peri. I had a thickened uterus back in May, used the cream all summer, and just had a clear vag u/s on Monday. So the cream def helped.

As I said in my other feed, if you are post meno and get bleeding it's always wise to have an u/s to determine the reason.

Took prometrium but stopped found out can cause breast issues .  But now found out a Mirena iud does the same thing without the risks .  Yes common

Hi, I think it was good you had a biopsy since you've been in meno for a year now. I wouldn't necessarily assume the thickened uterus is bad, but if it does show abnormal cells then they will probably either recommend an ablation where they burn off the lining, or there is also a certain type of progesterone they can give you which will do the same thing. I know how awful it is waiting for test results. Hopefully yours will be all good.
