Think I have herpes. Not sure

Have had this sore for about 6days now. Did a blood test & it came back negative for herpes. Yet still it has some signs of being herpes. Burning when urinating, itching. Just started taking Augmentin & rubbing Sudocreme on it. Does it look like herpes?

If this is your first outbreak and you're still having it now, there is no reliable blood test for herpes. Too soon to test for antibodies, so you need to retest at 3+ months using a type-specific HSV IgG (not IgM) antibody test.

The blood test you did now is either IgM, so unreliable and essentially useless, or IgG, which can only be used for benchmark purposes at this early stage. A swab is much better, so if you did not get that done, go back asap before the lesions heal (assuming you have lesions) and insist on a swab.

Sudocreme is good, but antibiotics are useless against herpes unless there's also a bacterial infection. Images can be uploaded via the desktop version of this site.

Third time actually. But on the last outbreak is where I did the blood work. All of this in six months or less

I can see some red sores/areas, but it's hard to say for sure. Are you able to go back and ask for a swab? If not this time, the next time it happens, go get it swabbed for herpes asap. The swab loses accuracy the older the lesions become. Having said that, the blood test should have covered it, if you have had this for around six months already. Check that it was the herpes IgG antibody test. If not IgG, the results cannot be relied upon, unfortunately. The IgG test can be done anytime after 3 months of infection, no outbreak necessary at the time.
