This is the worst drug I have ever been on

I was prescribed these pills (15mg, then increased to 30mg, now I am back to 15mg again), back in the Spring of 2018 as I was suffering from constant headaches and dizziness. Since taking the pills, trying CBT and relaxing didn't resolve the dizziness. My dizziness has begun to subside (I have had every check possible, from CT scan, thorough blood tests, X-Rays etc.) and being told this is all in my head.

I want to deal with this without meds, though every time I try to stop I get bad headaches and nausea, to the point I think I feel dizzy. I feel off since lowering down to 15mg from 30mg 5 days ago, off as in headaches, off balance and generally fuzzy headed.

I hope this makes sense to people as it is so hard to describe how I feel with all this kind of want reassurance there is an end to all this.

i feel you. i have felt the same since being on it. i am sure it is the mirt. i have tapered from 45 to 2.6 over 20 months. not an easy drug to get off for some. you have dropped too fast.

I have only ever been prescribed 15, 30 or 45, so dont know how to taper off them?

My Doctors do not seem to help, just prescribe more pills too.

It makes absolutely perfect sense! I have been on it for 3 years and I hate this drug. I am sure it probably helps some people and for them I am so thankful. But for me it has been a nightmare. I have gained 40 pounds (Please don't jump me and tell me I am eating too much and need to exercise more. This happened the last time I made negative comments about the drug) I really never felt it helped my anxiety and depression, but was afraid to stop it.

I too suffered from dizziness, stomach issues, insomnia, panic, had all the tests like you have had but the results were always the same, the found nothing wrong and convinced me it was anxiety and depression. Turns out over a year later, I saw a gastro doctor and within 5 minutes of seeing me said he believed I may be suffering from celiacs disease. I had all the classic symptoms and test went on to confirm the diagnosis. By that time, I was about dead and hooked on mirt and klonopin. It has taken me 3 years to get to the point where I feel strong enough to get off this crap. Last night was my first night to not take any. l have been tapering for months and months. I truly know exactly where you are right now and pray things get better for you. You can do this, I promise you can. We can all do more than we think we can, Be strong my friend.

Thanks Darla, thanks for the words of courage.

And good news they managed to find the root of yours. I was put on this for my dizziness and feel like there is no end in sight.
