Hello,

I have had redness in the glans for a couple weeks.  Got after intercourse.  No pain, no fluid it seems.  Dermatology office diagnosed as contact dermatitis and gave hydrocortisone cream, but I am unable to believe that diagnosis.  Suggestions?

This is most definitely just irritation. In fact, the skin is relatively normally colored for the glans. Trust your Dermatologist, absolutely nothing to worry about.

The color of the glans was definitely more red a week or two ago.  The only real symptom I've had besides the redness was some slight irritation when rubbing against the underwear.  Can irritation (contact) dermatitis cause the small pinsize dots?  I've read on sites that it can.
