Does anyone else have a red burning throat and tight neck?

yes ive had itbad for years. i live on nexium. this whole thing just has more symptoms..i dont know whats menapause or what isnt. im always in a panic. its not me to be down i usually am running allover..now im scared or sick or feeling like im sufgocating theres aleays a new pain. this just isnt right.we suffered through pms child bearing. periods. now this...

Im just the same, i seem to get different symptoms everyday, ive really bad anxiety im on omoprazole and gaviscon everyday. have you been to doctors? x

Absolutely yes. At first the dr thought it was a virus but it never went away then maybe a result of reflux so went on nexium didnt help..... as my peri symptoms sky rocketed so did the burning throat and tight neck then my tongue started to burn.... it is burning mouth syndrome... some only get the burning tongue others like myself get tge whole lot... when i went on HRT that helped alot of my terrible peri symptoms but not the burning. i was put on carbamazapine and that reduced it a whole lot. i still get breakthrough pain and burning but thats because i cant have a higher dose. carbamazepine is one of the medications that interfers with the Hrt. I cant have higher dose of HRT as my body doesnt tolerate it. so im a bit stuck and my dr is useless....

Hi I had the burning tongue and mouth last year, lasted for months, i suffer with acid and sometimes i can taste it, i have had the camera down and all was fine, i have a dry mouth every morning too... mine seems to ease on a night but my throat is red! x

yes i to had the endoscopy but it came out fine. but my throat is always red and inflamed with no bacteria etc... it fluctuates in intensity increasing the closer to a peak in the cycle but its always there. the carbamazepine keeps it down mostly.
the fact you have burning mouth syndrome makes me consider that the throat for you could be a progression of it. however Im not a dr so I'm not diagnosing you, just a suggestion to consider. burning mouth syndrome can come and go throughout peri and meno and as i said it is not restricted to the tongue. it can be throat

yes. says its axiety. this bad??? gave me visteral. makes my heart fluttr going to a new dr this week....like u..the nexium doesnt seem to work. damn this sucks..
