Stress is a major factor. If something happened in your life recent which caused this reaction?

As if my food was being blocked by a lump. It was really odd. It def makes u think you have some sort of major problem, but I’m pretty sure stress was causing it for me.
It went away after I stopped letting my mind drag me through the Perimenopausal rabbit hole of doom.
Pretty sure 9 out 10 ladies, won’t find an actual problem if they Goto their dr.
Believe me, I still don’t get how a hormonal imbalance could cause this, but then again nothing surprises me anymore in this phase of our lives.

I think yes stress can cause it too..I have a dry mouth and my glands are normal enlarge had blood work for this but it all started as I was transitioning into the menopause, every time I get up tight it kicks off can be distressing but I'm trying not get up tight about anything keep calm.

This can also be down to acid reflux as well this can make you feel like this I work in gastroenterology and this is a classic symptom
I take lansoprozole which is helping me with the reflux I get

Nice to hear from someone in gastroenterology
I’ve had theee upper endoscopes
Awful things
Although I have a small stomach nodule which my consultant assured me is not causing my bloating herd and nausea
I’m at a loss as no acid damage
I was given lanzaprazole but it makes me dizzy
I know I haven’t given it long enough to work but do these side effects subside
I’ve been in Peri ten years with tons of stomach issues among everything else
Should I just persevere with them
Thank you for your input much appreciated x

I am border line so I have started to cut back on dairy to try and help as well
Have you been tested for that
michelle50768 lisa67356

No I haven’t but like you I have very limited dairy

defiantly worth doing the lansoprazole and seeing if this helps

It’s been a long ten years
I will start the lanzaprazole today again and persevere
I really appreciate your input I’m sick of having endoscopes
And I had a hemithroidectomy three months ago which brought on a period after 13 months
So over all this
I will keep you updated but my gastroscopy consultant point blank refuses to believe it’s hormones causing this
He says it’s stress
I never had this until starting meno x

To be honest I have no idea on that
Swelling can be an allergy but to be honest not something that I know about worth getting a referral to see an ENT specialist
