Thyroid goiter and 3 1/2 parathyroid glands removed

Posted , 2 users are following.

I feel like my world has changed forever.  I had a thyroid goiter removed and 3 1/2 parathyroid glands.  The surgeon implanted the 1/2 gland into my chest wall.

I am now taking calcium citrate every eight hours and my thyroid hormone of 137.  I have blood work done twice a week.

My main problem is figuring out when to take my thyroid medicine 3-4 hours before I take my first two calcium pills and then two more doses every eight hours.  I’m depressed just trying to figure this out!  Any suggestions?  I’m feeling fatigued and anxious since surgery.
