Tight and heavy chest

Hi ladies

I am suffering really badly with a heavy and tight feeling on the chest.

I can't do my bra up at all. I have never had a tight pressing chest like this.

I haven't seen a doctor because I'm assuming it's peri related.

Also when I breath in and out I have a hot burning feeling similar to where my Adams apple is and later on in each day I have problems swallowing and chewing.

I know it sounds weird but I'm fed up now.

It sounds like it's due to peri, but it doesn't hurt to have it checked if it's really getting to you.

Sounds a bit like a hiatus hernia Michelle, have you tried taking an ant acid?

    Peri does cause gastric problems

    Try not to worry

      Hi Brenda

I take 2 lanzoprazole a day. I also drink ginger tea and have Gaviscon after meals and before bed.

      What is hiatus hernia ?

Michelle hiatus hernia is a tear wherever the hernia is

Some people have hernias where the bowel protrudes through a small tear and they need to get it repaired, a hiatus hernia is the same only high up in the gullet, the medicine your taking should help ease your symptoms

Try and keep your anxiety in check (easier said than done) as this will cause more inflammation

      Hope you feel better soon

      Hugs

Highly unlikely Michelle but if your concerned I'm sure your dr would put your mind at rest

It's more than likely the burning sensation and pain are caused by acid and inflammation, eat some alkaline food when you can, you could google this and find out some good diet tips

You'll be ok though, your body will heal itself if you let it

All the best & hugs xx
