    hey deborah,

i got the same thing but my was on the right side with the cheek, lips, tongue and then it started down my neck and sometimes in my arms. ive been on cit for about 6 weeks now and i havent had those physical symptoms for a couple of weeks (touch wood). i wasnt convinced that it was anxiety until i took the plunge and went on cit and it has tapered everything down. i hope this helps and you feel better soon!

Hi Deborah. It definitely sounds like anxiety to me and cristina is right, we over think everything turning it into something catastrophic. I'm the same but I have had 2 lots of 6 sessions of cbt which helps you change your thought process. I'm not saying it is 100% effective but it has made a difference to me. I still suffer with anxiety but having a few coping tools will go a little way to help. Try and stay strong, your can make some improvements. My therapist said if you suffer with anxiety it will always be there but it is learning to control it so it doesn't control you xx

Hi Deborah! I am also at this do not believe its anxiety stage with my own symptoms. I have been having the severe tingling in arms, legs and feet for about 3 months now. I've been taking sertraline for two weeks and I thought I was noticing an improvement but the last couple of days having a flare up. I can sympathise with you and hope for both of us it will stop. I keep hoping that it will just disappear!! Are you on any medication or had any inthe past. May be worth looking into or some other therapy and relaxation techniques. Im starting a new hobby. Goodluck, let me know how you are traveling in the coming weeks.

I spent about 2 weeks in such a state/daze/emotional wreck when it started. Despite how hard it is I just keep telling myself to take it one day at a time and just keep going. I read a nice quote (not sure who or where)the other week "when you are going through hell whatever you do dont stop!" Im trying to keep this my motto. Ive received m candle making kit and aromatherapy oils and about to start a new hobby to keep busy. We need to rule out any other medical condition (other than anxiety) still and search for an answer but try to not let it control us. My friend suggested (and read elsewhere) to allow yourself a set time to worry each day then stop thinking about it. not sure exactly how long to allow! :P goodluck

I never got the pins and needles sensation in my body, but I had numbness in one side of my face (the same feeling you get when you go the dentist). If you look for an illness whilst suffering from anxiety you'll develop one of the symptom from that illness, and if you're anything like me, others will follow, but it didn't stop there with me. I'd go from one illness to another, and each illness would be worse than the last.I'd start off with a cold and before the weeks out I'd be convinced I had Aids.

I suffered for 12 months with Anxiety (it was really really bad for about 4 months),and the only symptom I occasionally get now after 9 years is the odd twitch every blue moon.I don't worry about developing a neurological illness when I twitch(which was my my biggest fear),the twitch just reminds me off a dark period of my life, and like your symptoms Deb,they develop for no reason at all. The trick is to ignore your symptoms (easier said than done I know), but if there's a way of keeping your mind occupied then do it,oh, and stay away from google.
