On sunday while in the shower i noticed a group of fresh spots on my genitals it looked like it got there on that same day anyways i started doing some research and found out it could be herpes but the blisters have turned crusy now they're starting to heal they were quite mild, i found out that another symptom of herpes is tingling swollen lymph nodes in the groin area im getting quite confused and very stressed out because i dont want this to be herpes but im about 70% sure that is, what were your initial symptoms like? And do you think i might have gotten infected?

Thanks

P.s. i've booked an appointment for a blood test

    Hi James

You're doing the right thing getting it checked out so although you probably will dwell on it till your results come back just relax and understand that either way it's going to be ok. The swelling can be a symptom and so can flu like symptoms. It also usually itches to the point you want to scratch it raw. Did you sleep with anyone unprotected?

It's good that you're going to get checked and not just overlooking the spots.. but please be aware u can have herpes for years and not know because it can lay dormant in your body...I had this virus almost 2 yrs before I found out and when I got tested I begged them to test me for herpes because I felt burning and tingling and they kept testing me for the normal stds and my test kept coming back negative ..and I knew it was something wrong..I knew it had to be herpes smh
