Hi,
I am 50 but I am having horrible symptoms.Sometimes I feel perfectly fine but sometimes I suddenly feel upset. My heart starts beating fast.Loss of energy. Not feeling doing anything.I used to be a cheerful person but now a small thing in the family upsets me.I was diagonised with hypothyroid.I do take the medicine for it and multivitamins as well.I cant handle my family stress anymore.Get irritated easily followed by body pain. The anxiety thing is unbearable.I am a person who enjoys talking but now I prefer sitting alone watching TV or be on the computer.I am tired of it.
is menopause playing the trick or am losing my sanity.HELP!!!

I know exactly how you feel .... I xm the same. The symptoms keep comings X it gets me down terribly & im on HRT!! Not sleeping more than three hours a night, hot flushes and night sweats. Frightening symptoms in my body like buzzing and trembling. I do practice slow breathing and have tried to meditate... It helps , I used to panic a lot but sometimes talking yourself through it calmly in your head helps.

They will start you on a low dose. If things still aren't right you and the doctor can adjust the strength of estrogen and or progesterone. I'm only now after 4 months starting to feel the benefit. I started on the patches and changed to the gel 5 days ago x

Hi colleen
I used Evorel 50 patches for 3 months first. They stuck fine. They did leave a black sticky mark. I upped them to Evorel 75 patches and these lifted up on the corners. I still wasn't right so I went on the gel. A week on it now and I prefer it. My mood is better than when I was on the patches I'm sure. Hope this helps x

Have you ever tried the progesterone tablets? This is my first HRT I will be using wed. I hope they help and curious what works. I don't want to waste valuable time on something that doesn't help. There are so many types!

No, you are not losing your sanity and don't let anyone kid you you are! It's your hormones. Just be good to yourself!

Hi Swaran, your not alone. I've become antisocial when before, I loved to socialize. This is aweful and were missing out on life. This is so not fair

There is an up-side to all this. It gives you an excellent excuse to get out of things you don't want to do, ie - sitting on your own in a pub all night while your OH chats to his mates! I'd rather watch paint dry.

Definitely sounds like it. I feel the same way about no motivation to do anything...just want to sit on couch and watch tv. I feel like I have a new pain every week. And it freaks me out bc it's always something that I've never had before. This is definitely no picnic. Try not to be so hard on yourself. I would love to hire a maid right now and I don't work outside the home!

The fact that we lack ambition is because we're depressed. Another term Apathy because we are not ourselves. I never ever knew there was a such thing as perimenopause and how much it sucks the life out of us!
