Tongue pain, discomfort and inflammation for 3 months

Hey team,

So I've been dealing with this for 5 months total. Doctor says there's nothing wrong but when you see the picture you will disagree. My papillae at the tip of my tongue are inflamed. My circumvallate papillae are inflamed. The rear of my tongue is broken up and red and looks like the bottom of a dry river bed. I don't have oral thrush and apparently there isn't a rumour or anything causing it. I'm at a loss. I've tried salt water rinses. Tea tree oil solution, pain meds, scraping, anti bacterial lozenges etc but nothing. Any ideas?!? Damn it why won't this picture post.

Try applying some butter over it, before going to bed. I use this home remedy for mouth ulcers and it heals it within a week time. Hope this works for tongue as well.
