Hi all

I recently started using this forum and am finding really helpful.I am surprised though by how many people are suffering so badly, not just on and off but all the time and don't seem to be getting much medical help. I'm can't believe that in this day and age with so many advances in medical technology people can be left alone in this state.

So I'm wondering what does help? i'm looking at dietary changes, CBT, psychotherapy and hypnosis, has anybody had really postive experience of these things? i'm not looking to be cured but just to be able to lead a relatively normal life. Any postive experiences you can share would really help me make an informed choice. Thanks everyone for your help.

    I've had both cbt and hypnosis treatment and found both worked, together with medication.

    I have had all the treatments you listed except the hypnosis, and they do help. The best thing to do is ask them to help you to deal with stress, and stressful situations, as this is the major cause of anxiety I think. It is for me. Also try supliments if you can. B Complex is very good for the brain and thinking. Good luck xx

    I would defo try cbt a had some nd it was amazing it really helped... a routine is also good getting 8 hours sleep a night and eat 3 meals nd cut out the junk food
