Try htp

I started on 10 mg a year ago for migraine. All ok! Then after 6 months, I started getting muscle fatigue I could hardly walk across the room. I realised my body needed more, so decided to stop now. It took a while, then a few months later my mum died, and my migraines were dreadful. My doctor recommended 20mg. I really needed a short term answer, so went back on them, them 6 months later same scenario but worse.

I did some research and started taking 5 htp. Within a few days there's a definite improvement. It boosts seratonin in the brain, which amatriptyline does for depression, helps with sleep, suppresses appetite( if you need to) , but most of all my joints are getting back to normal. I take 2 x 200 mg a day . Morning and evening. Hope this helps .

Ahh bless you so sorry about your mum too, I lost my sister late last year so yes it doesn't help, IV decided not to take them and I have feverfew from holland. Barrett and take sumatriptan onset of migraines and seems to do the trick for now.

    Best wishes Kathy x

Yes I am. My joints ache so much though, but I've come this far now, so I'm going to persevere. It would be so easy to just go back on it and take more, but the same thing would happen in six months again. I don't know why, as I wasn't even trying to come off it. My body just needed more.
