Hi Christine, with me, I can try to see through the pain with tramadol which barely works at times but tiredness is something else. I had a lovely nights sleep last night after falling asleep continuously on the sofa, woke up at 5.30 but then had to go back to bed at 8.30 in the middle of hoovering, for another 2 hours.

Poor you Caroline, I get like that sometimes..I would get like that heaps in the first years.....yes we can usually take something that works for our pain...not much on offer for the tiredness though..although I've been taking 25 mils of Colloidal Gold...which is pure trace elements with pure mineral water....feel so bright- very bouncy indeed..it was recommended on this forum by tiswas..so I bought a bottle-enough for a month, by 3 weeks people were noticing the difference in me, as I was really feeling better...so of course I have bought more.....This is such a great forum..soo helpful..be blessed Caroline..have a lovely day...I'm in Australia and my day is almost over  and has been a great one too...:-) xxx

Hi Christine, thank you for your reply. After taking an age to get going today between trying to clean the paintwork in the hall, hoover endless dog hair and pop back to bed for a couple of hours, my afternoon was lovely as my daughter popped round with her son who is now 5 weeks old. I thoroughly enjoyed feeding and bathing him. He is just at the stage when he is trying to smile and vocalise. It really brightened my day.

    Thanks Christine

I know how incredibly hard it is to be positive at times. When I was diagnosed my consultant said to me PMA (Positive mental attitude) will help you through the darkest moments. You can choose to either to use PMA or just let it get the better of you. I thought she was barking mad but have to confess this morning I just did not want to get up but managed with a huge dose of PMA and have managed to walk the dogs and enjoy it and have come back feeling so much better I have even tackled some housework!  May pay tomorrow but today is good and I have a couple of days off work anyway if things go pear shaped.

    Hi Christine

I totally agree with you.  Taking a day at a time is the way forward. I do have bad days but I try to be more positve and find if I choose that route my day is far better than starting the day off in a negative way. wink x
