Hi Sara. I take 15 mg mirtazapine at night to aid sleep. I gained a few pounds, but not much. Meds can react differently from person to person, but I would say you should give it chance and see if it works as well for you as it has for me.

Sara hi why are you coming to the end of your life at 56 ? I'm 54 and I hope both of us have lots of life left. I take 30mg of mirt and I have to say I'm still feeling very depressed and the hunger is a nightmare. I'm overweight as it is and I know I've put more weight on. People tell me this is a good drug for depression so I'm hoping it kicks in soon.

Not sure what you mean coming to the end of your life. I just turned 48 on the 17th and have one daughter who just turned 10 on the 19th. I’m tired and stressed   I see my psychiatrist this week. But I’ll never give up. I live in Canada. Miss summer. Not familiar with that other med that you mentioned. I will have to google it. But that is hot. We were close to that a week ago except-40. But broke a record of 6 C the other day. Anyways I’m tired of of being tired but I need to try something new as well. Its scary but in reality we’re all test monkeys because what works for one person doesn’t work for the next. Please don’t give up. I’ll give an update later in the week and I’ve gained weight as well 😒
