    Hello Joao,

I know what you mean I also used to be 58-60 kgs after having my son 55 kgs before having my son and now I'm 82 kgs and it's mostly around the middle and my belly, I also hate my fat belly and middle area and that's also why I really want to get of this medication.  I strongly suggest you consult a good physiatric/specialist doctors in mental health medications and not just your gp.  I am having to take 15 mlg of temazapine to get to and stay asleep, but hopefully I can wean myself of this after 2-3 weeks.  Good luck Joao. nettie.

Hi if you look at other forum entries about coming of Mirt you will see that people who have been on the same amount of time as you need to do this very gradually. This is best done with the liquid Mirtazapine if you can get the doctor to give it to you, as you cannot accurately split a pill. Half a pill maybe but a quarter even must be difficult to be very accurate. Best wishes,

    Hi joao51714,

I've been on 30mg for 10-11 months and have also put on weight on my belly, I am active just like you but I think you should notice the belly fat to disappear as you gradually reduce your dose.

Let me know how you get on.
