Trying to catch my breath

Hi Ladies!

Have any of you experienced feeling like you need to take in more air like you need to catch your breath. It's not really like having shortness of breath but more like when you are speaking and at the end of your phrase you need to catch your breath before continuing. The only thing is I feel this just in normal breathing. I went to ER the other day, they listened to my lungs and checked my oxygen levels and everything was normal. I was just wondering if anyone else got this and was it yet another peri symptom.

Yes yes yes I do and then of course it sends my anxiety through the roof which has been a close companion of mine on this awful perimenopause roller coaster that ive been on for 8 years and counting! !!

Presently off work with a bad back and hip oh and I have a urinary tract infection aswell.

Hope this reassures you as all the other ladies that have replied having the same thing x

Hi, yes I've had this too for several years, since my early forties, - not so much now, - and it made me very socially phobic, and ery anxious when doing my job. I was a lecturer, so the anxiety that the students wouldnt hear what I said was terrible.

I've been checked out for loads of sthff healthwise, so its definitely anxiety related.
