Hi,

For those ladies with bladder problems you might be interested in listening to the Jeremy Vine show on Radio 2 (on as I write this). They are talking about mesh problems.

Sorry I missed this was at work today doing my 12noon to 5 pm shift. That would have been interesting to listen to!

Do they repeat it at all?

      Hi Phyl,

It may be on their catch up service. To be honest they didn't cover that much but they mentioned a number of times how many women have problems with prolapse. Hope they cover this subject again.

I hope they mentioned all the excellent results from the use of mesh? I get really cross when they fail to mention just how many women have been given a new lease of life because they have had surgery performed by excellent well experienced, closely monitored urogynaecologists.

      Hi Matron,

      Hope you are well.

The lady they had on had problems following surgery but the doctor that is usually on the program was there too. She said that many procedures are successful and another lady phoned in to say her life was so much better following surgery.

I was just pleased that the subject of prolapse was being discussed - I hope they follow it up. It would be really good to hear some positive stories and also women who have chosen to live with it and how they cope. 🙂

Thanks for that and I'm pleased they had a balanced discussion. Like you I am pleased prolapse was being discussed because it is too often a taboo subject. xx
