Twitching on citalopram

I have been on 20mg for 10 weeks and 30mg for 4 weeks. More recently I have been twitching in my arms and legs when sitting down or lying down and annoying when trying to sleep. Not sure if a side effect. Has anyone had this?

    Hi, I am on 20mg and am experiencing twitching of arms and legs, yes very annoying but a common side effect.

      Was on fluoxetine for six weeks with horrible side effects. Changed to citalopram and into third week, feeling better but as I already had the fluoxetine in my system this could account for good feeling. Hope you start to feel better soon x

    I've been on 20mg for nearly a month and I kicked my partner in bed twice last week.  Luckily she understood when I told her I was having bad dreams.  I originally put that down that down to Citalopram's side-effect of abnormal dreams but as this has never happened to me before it could be twitching as well  :-(
