Upper abdominal pain - does anyone else gets this?

Hi, I'm a 12 year old girl, about to be 13. I recently got diagnosed with IBS. And now, I'm having really bad abdominal pain. I wouldn't say it's so bad Im crying but it's uncomfortable. It's in the upper part of my abdomen. The pain feels...full and sharp. Like sharp tearing (I don't think anything is tearing because I would be in a lot more pain). I had 3 slices of pizza earlier and some coke and a lot of chicken wings. I had to go poo earlier but I had to hold it in cuz no way am I going into those public toilet house thing. Like the one where you have to do your business in a hole, no flushing nothing, you can see everyone's...waste. Well now, I'm constipated and it's causing me pain. Passing gas does help. I get gas pains A LOT. Does anyone else with IBS gets this? Anything to help ease the pains?

Hi Kaykay.
For a 12-year old, I commend you on your writing. On to the issue, what you're experiencing is probably due to gas accumulation in your abdomen when you eat, which could be attributable to several factors: swallowing air, reaction to certain diet, gas from the fuzzy soda, etc.
Is this something that happens every time following a meal, or occasionally, or is this the very first time you've experienced it?
Public restrooms? Aww, they're mostly awful places. I try my utmost best to avoid using public restrooms. When I must use one, I usually target 5-star type hotels, Wal-Mart, or big establishments with clean and very decent restrooms. So, I totally understand where you're coming from. I give you thumbs up for avoiding public restroom filth.

It's not everytime, just often. It usually happens when I'm bloated or constipated or just ate a very big meal. I was able to have a bowel movement and now the pain is the gone. It's kinda weird because at first the pain was in my upper abdomen and then it slowly went down to my lower left and then I started having the feeling to go use the restroom and to pass a lot of gas? Could this be my stool and gas passing through my colon?

I've had this feeling too. I also get proctalgia fugax (literally translates as pain in the bum) alot followed by the sudden urge to go.
I found reducing caffeine really helps, eating more vegetables and drinking peppermint tea or taking a peppermint supplement sometimes can help.
Activated charcoal tablets can also be useful to absorb excess gas but make sure to drink plenty of water if you take them. X
