Upper middle back pain

Hello ladies just curious if any of you have experienced pain in your upper middle back and shoulders? The best way to describe what I'm feeling would be bunched up muscles in the middle of my back. It's so uncomfortable and annoying!!

    Yes! Yes! YES!

This is a really weird thing I had and still do at times, but not as bad now.  My upper back and shoulders were in such pain a few months ago.  I was doing a lot at the time as was going back and forth to my sons new place - but nothing I normally could not do...

Anyway - it was hurting so bad it scared me!  Thought maybe my heart or something...lol.  Then thought maybe stress as stress can do that too.  I would try and relax all my mucsles laying down and would help a little but not much.  Waking up would feel a lot better but as soon as I was thinking of stressful things or my back and shoulders it would come back ... like it was creeping in

This lasted a couple weeks and was ready to go to doctors when I then started watching myself how I was sitting and tensing up in the shoulder and back area.  I was tensing those muscles and then was catching it as I could see I was.  But I really don't know if that is what it is.  It did go away but I still find I will get pain there, creeping in, but I watch how I'm thinking (get rid of negative thoughts) and contracting right then -  I watch if I am tensing up those muscles in other words.

Now this did seem to help as it then went away..

But exactly the areas you are complaining of I too got that and sometimes still mildly but not like I did those couple weeks at first.  I think it was more like 3 weeks it was really bad until I tried to destress my self and watch those areas.  But thats just a maybe reason why - but it did help me to watch - especially when sitting alone with my coffee in morning stressing about stuff...lol.  Could really see I was locking up all the muscles that I was not aware of until watching for it.

I wish I had all the answers for all these crazy symptoms and was more sure of my answers - but you are not alone on that one...sad I know it hurts..

Oh - I also soaked in some epsom salt baths and it helped a little

Thank you Cindie!! I work two jobs which is really starting to get to me. I work at Walmart in the evening and drive a school bus during the day. I thought maybe it's bothering me from going from sitting on the bus to standing on my feet 4 hours in the evening picking and packing orders for online orders. I don't know it drives me nuts I always think the worst anyway. And I fear the doctor. Thank you for your reply.

Yes I've had this too. So tight and sore but difficult to do anything about it. I've recently changed my pillow for a slight lower one which has helped a little and I agree that the Epsom salt baths are really helpful. I have lots of tight muscle, not sure why but it's all accompanied the menopause😕
