Vaginal sores. Help?

I have been with the same sexual partner for 9 years and we do have unprotected sex as we are currently trying for a baby. Just the other day I started to feel a little bit of an sore pain when I was wiping after using the toilet, the pain got a little worse and I could feel it rubbing against my underwear. I decided to take a little look. I can see a few small blister like sores right on the tip of my vagina lips, right down at the bottom, more towards the anus. Straight away the thought came to me about herpes, but I have been with only 1 partner for 9 years and he swears he also has, and I do believe this (I'm not some delusional girl either) he has absolutely no signs of this either, it's just myself. I've booked myself in to see a doctor but couldn't get myself an appointment for a few days abd I'm worried it may be gone by then as it does appear to be clearing a little already. Can anyone offer any advise?

If someone could tell me how I add a picture, I can put one up

Your partner may have next to no symptoms, assuming he even has herpes. Many carriers are near-asymptomatic. Does he get cold sores, out of interest? As a child? But a first outbreak, if that's what it is, wouldn't normally start to clear so quickly either. How many days has it been? You can post photos via the desktop version, I believe.

No neither him or myself have ever had cold sores. The first sign of this I had was around 2 days ago and I noticed the blister type things yesterday. Upon looking at them today they've gone down significantly and appear to be fading into one red type of boil. But much smaller then it was yesterday and the initial swelling has gone down loads.

This is what it looked like yesterday.

Herpes lesions can vary considerably, but yours do look rather like herpes ones to me. They look painful, too! Definitely get that looked at and swabbed asap. In the meantime, keep an eye on things and keep the lesions dry. Wash your hands after touching, too. If herpes and a first outbreak, it may worsen before healing. Do you have any other symtoms, swollen lymph nodes in your groin, flu-like symptoms, discharge, burning urination, etc.?

It seems to have gone down considerably already today, so I'm hoping for it to hold out until I have the chance to get to the doctors on Friday so they can swab it. I have no signs of any other symptoms at all, it's not painful to urinate, just when I wipe I may catch it a little and this stings. The only swollen section is where the sore is and no general feeling of unwell either. I guess every person is different.

Is it at all possible that if this is herpes, this could of been contracted over 9 years ago, but only coming out just now, or is that absurd?

It's possible, and does apparently happen. Usually an acute first outbreak is from recent infection, though. However, besides the lesions, you don't have many typical first outbreak symptoms (not so far, at least).

If you want to know, you can get the IgG antibody test for HSV-1/2 done soon, before sufficient antibodies have been produced (assuming it's herpes and a new infection). Even if this is herpes, you will still test negative if done soon enough (first couple of weeks from symptoms).

Thank you I didn't know if sounded a bit far fetched or not but I've no other explanation to how I could of contracted this. I had tonsillitis roughly 2 months ago but other than this my wellness has been perfectly normal. This came out of nowhere. I've taken another picture this evening as I'd like to keep a record of this to show the doctor just in case it's cleared by the time my appointment comes round. It does seem to have cleared massively though and the irritation has also cooled down.
