vertigo frequently

Hi,

I am 35 years old. I am getting vertigo in every 2 months or once in every 4 months.

One year back Neuorlogist asked me to go for Brain CT and reports are normal. He confirmed its positionla vertigo as its worse on one side(right side). Prescribed spinfree. Sugar readings were 83/110(fasting and post lunch).

But some are suggesting to check with cardiologis as cardiac issues may cause vertigo. And also sugar levels every 6 months.

What do you suggest? it could be becz of caridac issue or high suger levels? i am afraid to go to doctor now.

    hi raju

how does he know its BPPV? i ask because this is the quickest label that gets slapped on us sufferers. there are so many different causes. vestibular migraines, vestibular nueritis, meneirs, labs, pppd. on and on. i would not just accept a diagnosis of BPPV- only because i believe a lot of us here have been misdiagnosed with bppv. i would suggest otolaryngologist, neuro-ontology, not a cardilogist. not a regular nuerologist. an ENT- can only do so much. do you have a dizzy clinic in the major hospital near you? i dont have any idea why some would say cardiac. maybe someone else does on the forum. you need all sorts of testing that can be done at a dizzy clinic.

i cant diagnose you raju, but you sound like you have a vestibular issue. you should see a vestibular specialist. most of us here have been to numerous doctors, all different types, trying to get an explanation. vestibular isnt life threatening although i thought i was going to die. once they rule out strokes, brain bleeds, ect. which is done with MRI And Catscans. they will slap some diagnosis on you and tell you to watch your diet and you will get better with time. my ENT- said this was outside her expertise. but she sent me to an otolaryngologist. who did all the proper blood work and caloric spinning testing to diagnose me with vestibular migraines. seeing a cardiologist may rule out things. some of us have had heart palpitations, high blood pressure ect as a result of this nightmare. if you want a real diagnosis i suggest you google the type of doctor i mentioned, and a dizzy clinic. also regular nuerologist, useless. another name is nuero-ontologist. start with these to try to get help. you may need meds to correct what is happening.
