Vertigo whilst tapering off Citalopram - advice please
Posted , 7 users are following.
I can cope with dizziness and nausea but I cannot cope with being so bad I cannot walk properly without banging into things and feeling so sick I am going to throw up, has anyone had this and if so, could you offer any advice of any medications or over the counter medications that can stop this, someone mentioned piriton tablets, am going to see my doctor.
My symptoms were caused by missing my tablet by 6 hours accidentally, and have gone from 20mg to 18mg liquid citalopram.
Other symptoms parathesia right leg, fuzzy head, memory issues.

Hi Paula,
I don't know your history with this drug, but it seems that you either kindled your nervous system by messing around with your dose, or you cannot tolerate any more this substance.
From my research, when faced with much lighter problems than yours, you will eventually recover but unfortunately only time will achieve this, with a lot of patience and support.
I could not find any supplement or medication to solve it, and people who started and stopping new drugs to recover, sooner or later ended up worse!
I cannot offer you a better advice, and last time when I mentioned a site which helps with these sort of problems, my comment did not appeared!
Wish you a stable recovery.

Hi Paula
My aunt gets vertigo badly and the sickness with it. On her doctor's advice she take Kwells travel sickness tablets for the vertigo and sickness, they can be bought over the counter. May be worth mentioning to your doctor. Hope you feel better soon ?
