Hi everyone ,
As you all know vitamin levels are so important . We could and would not function without proper vitamin levels , to high or to low is extremely dangerous to our health . We can not live without vitamins . Anxiety / Panic is just one of the symptoms of low or high vitamin . High or low levels can cause such chaos inside your body ,and also outside your body ! One vitamin that is rarely checked in blood labs is vitamin D , the sunshine vitamin ( Gods vitamin ) also known as a pro hormone . Not only for your bones , vitamin D has a function from head to toe in all areas of your body . You cant get what your body needs from food , it is either from sunshine ( 20 minutes a day ) or supplements . Some of the symptoms of a deficiency is anxiety , panic attacks , depression , IBS , gastritis , fatigue , dementia , palpitations , dizziness ,numbness , and more . Some people can suffer hallucinations and schizophrenic syndrome . If you haven't done so already please have yours checked as this could be your health problem .
best wishes and prayers for all of you

I've read 50,000 IU's a week but not sure how true that is. I'm taking 4,000 a day. The last time my vitamin D was checked it was 19 but that's been almost 2 years ago.

Yes if you have a deficiency the dosage recommended is usually 50,000 iu daily . Akthough some doctires say 50,000 twice a week . 4 months ago mupy levels were 19 very low , i started out at 10,000 ius daily ,for 3 months ,now im on 50,000 ius. Twice a week as it takes a long time to replenish your vitamin D , and it must be vitamin D3 because vitamin D2 isnt as natural and it doesnt absorb much . Mandy what are your levels now ? If you have tajen only 4,000 daily from a level of 19 chances are your levels are still low , vitamin D stays in your system 2 days ,it takes a large amount to replenish to standard levels . Our levels are to be between 50 to 100 mg/L to function properly , however anything below 40 /50 is considered low range , levels below 30 is a deficiency . All hell can break lose in our bodies ! Anxiety is one of the top 10 symptoms as vitamin D is vital fir brain functions ,along with lung s and heart muscle functions . After levels have risen back to normal the recommended dosage is 2,000 to 5,000 ius daily .

Oh and something else .. When taking vitamin D3 make sure you are eating plenty of foods rich in magnesium , calcium and vitamin K ,as all these help each other .. Magnesium and Calcium are part of our electrolytes thats vital for our bodies .

Hi Vicky
I bought some vit d3, it says 25ug (1,000 I.U.) on the bottle. It says to take one a day and not to exceed dose. I've been taking them for about a week but no noticable difference so far. What do you think, should I take more?

Hi Meril
Do you know what your levels are ? It will take a month to tell any difference , however by month 3 you should tell a bug difference . Replenishing you vitamin D is a long slow process but is worth the wait .. Even though you cant feel any difference now i can asure you it is already building . If you know what your levels are i can help you with your intake . Your health will love you for it !

I don't know what they are. I know I don't get out in the sun, there not much sun anyway. I'm not big on foods that contain d3 either. I thought I'd give it a go, after all, it's not doing any harm is it?

No harm at all ,especially if you dont get atleast 20 minutes a day of sun as you cant get the D you need in food .

Excuse me , that meant to say " YOU CANT GET THE VITAMIN D THAT YOU NEED IN FOOD "

How are you Mandy ? Have you had your levels checked lately ? Chances are your levels are still low unfortunately ,as 4,000 ius isnt close enough to replenish vitamin D to recommended levels . 4 to 5,000 is usually the daily dosage for maintenance upkeep AFTER D levels are up to good normal levels . Please have yours rechecked .

also ive only started taking vitamin D3 approx 3 weeks ago.
i do t know my levels but my mental health is very bad, my anxiety is the worst its ever been.
ive had anxiety my whole life but it has got worse over the past 2 years which was triggered from stuff at work and in my career.
how long does it take to kick in. ive got 4000 IU. would it be dangerous to take anymore per day?
Tammy
PS - Apologies for the lower case letters. my phone wont allow it automatically or to correct spelling unless i manually do it as i go and that takes forever

Youre very welcome Tammy . 4,000 ius is good unless you know your levels are low then it would need to be higher . the first dosage starts working yet you wont notice until 1 month into the replenhising ,by month 3 you will be able to feel a good difference whether it be more energy to better state if mind . By 6 months you know you are really getting better . Past that most patients anxiety is almost nonexistence . Let me ask you Tammy , by chance have you been losing hair ? That is one of the affects if low vitamin D levels . By month 3 of intake ,your hair stops

thank you again.
i feel that my doctors would just say it doesnt make much difference as he has been like this recently when ive mentioned things like magnesium or other vitamins.
you would think he would think of it if it is that powerful eg that most of us in the uk esp me in Scotland doesnt get much vit d?
strange

Oh yes it makes a huge difference Tammy , you are right ! From brain function to every cell in your body vitamin D has a roll .. Like i mentioned however , most doctors dont check vitamin D levels unless requested ... Studies have shown over half the worlds population is low in this vital pro hormone ! Explains why there are more with anxiety , cancer , etc . Youre on the right track to improving your healthy and symptoms .. Keep on keeping on !!
