Been feeling ill for at least 6 months, blood tests show both TSH and free T4 are low. Referred to endicrinologist, gp querying pituritary involvement, appt isn't until 15th May - how do I keep going until then? Feel dreadful

Maybe your GP can give you an interim dose of thyroid meds? BTW, is your TSH low or high?  Low TSH means high thyroid, and vice-versa.

      Hi

GP didn't want to give me any meds in case it masked anything for when I see the specialist. Free T4 is 7.6 (ref range 8.0 - 18.0) and TSH is 1.486 (ref range 0.340 - 5.600) suggesting a pituitary problem. My B12 is at the low end of the scale too at 375. Saw Occi Health today at work - recommended to my manager that I work shorter days (using annual leave or reduced hours/reduced salary) in the short term as high risk of being signed off work due to symptoms - hoping the symptoms can be reversed.
