Today I went on my walk carrying my stick which has been usual for the last couple of weeks, about 15 minutes from home, I realised I had not needed to use it. For the first time in many years I actually walked normally, no pain, no aches, no limping.
I know some of you are eager to ditch your support but don't be to quick if you have any ache, pain or limp let it come naturally.
I am 13 weeks post op and been using my elliptical walker for the past 3.5 weeks and I think that has helped to heal.

Well done Jen, I was at about 13 weeks when I realised i could walk without a stick and like you I would carry it just incase my leg felt weak, it's a great feeling when you can walk a couple of mile without it.

After the thr I lost confidence for a short while that surprised me but, I think because I have been walking around house without support and I am out walking with hubby, it actually seemed natural to walk normal, boy it felt good.

Wonderful news.
Isn't it funny when we do something automatically again, I remember going up the stairs like that - I just suddenly realised I could do it without the extra support.

Are you home now, did they say whether the any of the pieces are in danger of moving anywhere else in your body or are you safe?

That's not a bad way of thinking about it.
The teacup ('Liner' is supposed to sit neatly in a very close fitting titanium outer 'Shell', making up a complete 'Cup'. My metal Shell was fine, but the Liner or teacup was not aligned correctly in it.
Inside the teacup is a ceramic golf ball (the 'Head' which has a hole in it, and that sits on the titanium spike ('Femoral Stem' that is inside the top of your leg bone ('Femur'.
