I was told not to take certain things when I started Warfarin 11 years ago. However, one consultant told me that if I took the same dose (of a complementary substance, not a medicine) every day at the same time then the INR would be regulated. It seems common sense, unless it is something you only take occasionally.  I can see why it would then have an effect. For example, I only like the occasional glass of wine - perhaps twice a month - and this did have a severe effect on INR. However, if I had the same wine in the same size glass every day at the same time, there is no reason why INR should be affected. Once the Warfarin dose is calculated, and nothing else changes, it should be safe.
