Warts or yeast or skin tags????

Soooo I don't believe I've ever had the HPV shots. Recently I noticed these white lumps on each side of the opening of my vagina. No other symptoms, no pain or discomfort. Are they warts? I had a pelvic exam about four months ago and there was no issue. No pap smear because I wasn't due for one. I have had unprotected sex since that visit. imageimageimage

    Dear sara,

No question- these are genital warts. See your GP or better still go to your local sexual health clinic for treatment and a full STD screen. Advise your partner to do likewise.

not sure if it's worth noting, but I have been watching it over the past week and it seems to be shrinking pretty rapidly . Is it still worth getting the HPV shot once it goes away? imageimageimage

      Most definitely!

The HPV vaccine will protect you against infection from the cancer-associated HPVs (HPV-16 and -18). It will also boost your immunity against genital wart HPVs (HPV-6 and -11), so it might help you clear your infection faster and maybe also reduce the chances of you getting recurrences.

It wont cure(eridicate the virus from body) existing Hpv strains u already contracted, but the vaccine can help to boost your immunity system to treat your current Hpv infection.

I only noticed them a little over a week ago, but they have almost completely vanished with very little treatment. The way they look now would have never raised concern in me previously so I'm glad to have noticed them when I did. Also surprised that there are only two and havent spread elsewhere. Don't know how long I might have had them but my body seems to be doing a good job clearing them so hopefully they don't return! Thanks for your feedback!
