Just got back from my six week check:-)))  And signed off:-)))))  The physio was delighted with everything.   It was so nice - he looked really impressed.   He told me I don't need to push the bend any more because I've got way more than they would think it necessary (they're happy with 120 degrees and I've got about 130).  He took me by surprised and tested strength of leg as it was put out straight from the seat and said it was VERY strong (which surprised me because I've not concentrated on that at all really BUT have been doing the bike and treadmill) and he sent me to the nurse to see about the stitches sticking out and they said this often happens but she pulled it out easily and stuck a plaster on it:-))))  THEN - the icing on the cake - they've given me my date for pre op for the next one! 15th May:-))))  So VERY happy with that.  Same surgeon again:-))))  My husband thinks I'm weird looking forward to the next one being done LOL!  I suspect he's not looking forward to being a slave for a few weeks LOL!

Thanks so much Clive.  I'm very positive about it and actively looking forward to it and my husband thinks I'm nuts.  I think he's not looking forward to being the slave for the first few weeks again LOL!  But I've come to the conclusion that a supportive partner is everything!

That's amazing news Chris, well done! It's such a relief to be told everything's fine.

I'm a week behind you and bend etc is ok but the heat and swelling is driving me nuts still plus it doesn't look anything like my other knee, I'm beginning to think I'll have my elephants knee forever 😞

Ali my operated knee is still a lot bigger than the other one, but I expected that.  I CAN get some of my old jeans on but can see a bit of swelling there still, through them, so will leave it a bit longer.  I was reading an article in the waiting room at the hospital yesterday (in the newspaper) about 'knee lifts' for wrinkly knees and wondering if I might 'need one' LOL!  But my other knee might match soon LOL!  I don't notice heat around it anymore, so yours might well cool down soon.  Just keep up the ice there while it's hot and swollen, and the elevation!  You're getting there too:-))))
