Weakness, Twitching, Tremors, and lump in throat

Hello, over the past few months I have experienced a range of symptoms that only increasingly have gotten worse. It started with weakness in my right forearm and wrist about 3 months ago, then I woke up full body weakness and twitches everywhere. Mostly in my legs and calves but I experience them everywhere all over my body. I only am continuing to weaker and even walking up the stairs causes me to be out of breathe. Whenever I exert effort into things or even tilt my head down I get bad tremors in that muscle. I have had every blood test done imaginable, an MRI of my head, neck, and spine. All of which has come back normal. I have an EMG Friday I guess to rule out nerve damage and ALS which I am extremely worried about. I have been severely depressed and anxious since all of this has started, so I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced these symptoms and gone through this process and ended up being okay? I am a 23 year old male in good shape, and I know ALS or a nerve disease is very rare but even my neurologist agrees that what I have been experiencing is abnormal. Thanks everyone.

i dont know why your doctor thinks its abnormal....i had the same thing in my 20s. terrible weakness, twitches all over, floaters in eyes, plus many more. thought i had a horrible disease too. all tests ok.

well i want u to know that im in my 50s now and very healthy!

EVERY symptom was due to long term anxiety, stress, fear, etc.

yes, stress can cause benign fasciculations (twitches) that are harmless. i still get them occasionally when anxious but i ignore

    them and they go away.

stress can also cause weakness. stress takes a huge toll on the body, no wonder we feel weak.

do u have stress or anxiety? if so, it’s not the symptoms that are the problem, it’s the unmanaged anxiety that causes symptoms .

75% of people get twitches at some point. athletes get them all the time with our use their muscles. They are very common.

so get the emg but dont be surprised when it comes out normal! ❤❤❤

I am 23 and I am experiencing weakness on the right side of my body. my arm, leg, wrist and ankle are weak as well as a horrendous tension in the right side of my neck and in the right flank of my abdomen, twitching all over my body and ive also had a tight chest and been having trouble with breathing, altho every physical examination I get confirms that I am getting enough oxygen and my lungs "sound" fine, but they definitely dont feel fine, and a lump in my throat. I have had blood tests and a CT scan but no MRI or EEG even suggested, because I currently have a chronic sinus issue, and whenever I go in to speak about my weakness problem, it ends up being backbenched and we talk about sinuses for 15 minutes. I'm really not good at demanding things either so its really difficult. I know all too well that anxiety can do weird things to your body, and especially your nerves, and with practicing mindfulness and CBT I've been able to control my anxious thoughts and have seen a lot of my symptoms go away. I can even pinpoint the exact moment all this started and it was immediately after my first ever panic attack. So all says to me that anxiety is the issue, but I DONT have an MRI or an EEG to prove that to me, and that can never ever truly settle me because im constantly going to doctors for them to not even test me for things and me just having to rely on their "word", I know they are very qualified and intelligent, I just cant believe they won't even check. everything I read on forums is "ive had mri, eeg, ct and all came back normal" and I just cant seem to access that reassurance, so I can never permanently remove my doubts. I am terrified of something like ALS.
