Week 4 50mg sertraline

I think this med is not for me.  I take it before bedtime and am up at 6:00 in the morning.  Usually I am a late sleeper.  Feel agitated and low.  This am I went a little crazy thought I was having a heart attack.  Intrusive depressing thoughts.  Why isn't it giving me the relief I so desire.  Anyone.

Sorry Kelly that you are going through this.  I certainly can emphasize.  I still am experiencing some. Though it is heartening to hear that in time I will feel like myself.  Know that this too will pass.

It will love it's just ashame the most nicest people after go through it have everything to be happy about but yet we can't because of the stupid anxiety I've been reading up on it and apparently writing it down supposed to help trying not to let it bother you as it only makes it worse but it's easier said than done just be strong and tell yourself you can beat it. All the best in the future really hope you feel better soon x

    Hi Lynda,

I am on 50mg of Sertraline and have been taking it for nearly 4 weeks. I started on 25mg so I didn't have any bad side effects and feel so much better already.

I do now have cramps in my legs through taking Serraline but that is because I have to rest my legs for long periods and toxins build up if you are not using your muscles.

I was advised to take it in the morning on a full stomach for the reasons you state...I don't get to sleep easily due to restless legs but when I do , I sleep well and right through the night !! which is wonderful.

I am learning to breath deeply before sleep to relax.

Why don't you try taking the tablet in the morning.

It motivates me to get up every morning at a regular time even when I do not feel like getting up; and I have those days, believe me.

Hope it gets better soon for you.

    Good luck
