Hi been on 15mg, 30mg and now on 45mg for 2 weeks now. Been dieting for four weeks and started running about a week ago not lost ANYTHING so disappointed. Does anyone know if the pills gain weight because I'm NOT eating a lot at all. Thanks

I was prescribed mirt a year ago and it saved me mentally but my weight shot up 5kgs in no time at all, I literally went to the gym 6 days a week and didn't shed a pound! My family and friends noticed and everyone I met told me I had piled on the weight, no matter what I did those 5kgs wouldn't budge, after feeling better I stopped taking mirt around 3 months ago and I have lost 4kgs without going to the gym even once!, sorry to say but you will not lose any weight on this medicine as it completely slows your metabolism and it's an appetite stimulant,
yes its a great medicine but the weight problem will not go away until you stop taking it, talk to your dr before deciding,

I absolutely agree that Mirt slows you down and makes you hungry. Having said that I have been able to move some of the weight around by hitting the Concept2 rower at the local gym. My mission is to wear it out. So far not much progress, but I have managed to lose a few pound. At 200 pounds I could do with losing a few more. What is best is I can see my fitness improve week by week and for sure arms, back and legs are stronger and leaner. Best best part is that I write down when I have an anxiety attack, and I have never had a bad one following a rowing session - bod must to tooo tired to put its head above parapet
