Weight loss

Hi everyone. I love this resource as it help in feeling like you not alone.

I believe my anxiety really started with a very bad work environment and stress.

I've had ringing in the ears and honestly like a lot of pressure on the same one ear. Brain fog... Been to ENT specialist and he thinks it could be allergies and my Eustachian tube/sinuses swelling and creating air not to circulate hence why I might be getting dizzy.  I'm also coming off sertraline but only 25mg and I only did for a 1.5 months as the migraines and insomnia were just horrible for me.

But my real question is weight loss. Have any of you suffered any weight loss? I'm down bout 20 pounds and was only 148 before.  (Past blood tests and CT scan of sinuses/brain are ok but does show my sinuses are inflamed). ENT thinks a lot of this could be from allergic reaction.  So I'm between Anxiety, allergy, or possible tapeworm. Would love any feedback from others.

Hi sorry i cant really relate to yyour condition but....coming off your tablets.....can the weight loss be a side effect to that?. worry and anxiety obviously can cause weight loss without you realising it at the time as it sounds like you've been through quite a bit recently. also if you are feeling dizzy does this make you nauseous? and therefore you arn't eating as much but not realising it? can you keep a diary of what you eat etc?. .just some points....sorry i cant comment anythin definate but one thing i do know is stress has an awful lot to answer for !!. good luck

Hey Lucy. Thanks for your response. Yes I started a food log to see what's going on. It could be from stress and constant worrying.

I've seen numerous things that anxiety really can run rampant when there are issues w ears and sinuses.

      Thanks for your thoughts.

hi yes all that you have said is so true re stress and worrying. I started a job a few years ago...the training was very stressful and if i wasnt good enough i didnt have a job. during this time i started to get dizzy...like i was going to fall over etc....had tests..balance tests ..water in the ears thing etc. nothing showed up...but i didnt get the job andwas off my other job for over a year with the dizzy thing. felt so nauseus and ill with it to the point i couldnt drive etc and had to sleep sitting up i felt i couldnt go shopping as id faint (i never did). i lost weight too. they couldnt find anything wrong. after about a year it passed but i lost my other job through it. looking back the only reason i can think of to cause it was stress....and a doctor agreed with me. stress affects us in so many ways. im not saying your condition is caused by stress but thought id mention it. good luck hope it gets sorted smile

    Yes,

I have lost about 10/15 pounds in a little less than 3 months. I'm the beginning of my panic disorder I had zero appetite. I ate very minimally. So to answer your question yes I have dropped in weight. I pretty much have my appetite back now and am slowly gaining back weight.
