Hey everyone !! I'm new here , and I have a few things on my mind!! So about 5 months ago I developed a red spot on my tongue . It could have been a ulcer ?? But it doesn't hurt , doesn't get worse or anything . I was prescribed magic swizzle, and it faded to spot to a light pink. It's been 3 days on the mouthwash . Now I did test for HIV I was neg, but I'm scared its cancer. No hurting tho. Can anyone help or have ever seen this? And it's not a ulcer looking spot . Just a random red spot on the side of tongue. I did for the first 3 months brush it heavily . Why idk. !! But closest thing I've found is a geographical tongue? But idk!!!

      Okay well besides the point,

      I'll try to explain it the best way possible ,

      It started back in July , it's now December 16th and still there . The first few months it seemed to be a ulcer , but it was PAINLESS. So then I started brushing that one spot and it made it worse. I probably irritated it . So I slowed down and it was fine. Now about a week ago I was brushing my mouth and noticed it agin. So I contacted the dentist , and they said they'll give me the magic mouth wash , and yes it did help it. Been 5 days now and the spot has faded away a little. If you shine a bright light you can still see it. But it has never hurt or gone 100% away. It's about 85% gone now. But if it was cancer wouldn't it proceed to get larger and worse ? And have pain? That's the only thing. I worry a lot!! Too much!! Thanks man for the help. Please help.

      Best way to describe it , the one spot does not collect thrush or bacteria after I eat, it never hurts , just 2 shades darker pink than tongue. It isn't a circle neither , it's oval, what longer than wide. Sound like cancer ?

    You must visit a periodontist to make clear all the doubt regarding red spot. I can refer Dr. william for this because he has a good experience.
