As most of you know I am 15 days lit from anterior repair and having been doing quite well apart from discharge and smell ... These past two days I have been so tired and have been getting out of breath sometime when I've been walking from room to room . Doctors phoned me today with results and yes I have got an infection . Or rather two infections .... Thrush and BV. He has pescribed antibiotics for the
BV and pessaries for the the thrush for 3 days , I did tell the nurse if was quite concerned about having to insert pessaries at this stage and she said I would be fine ☺️. Just the thought is making me feel queasy ! Anyway that aside I also mentioned me being out of breath when I was on the phone , was told to go straight to the doctors and have a blood test , my veins are absolutely rubbish and the nurse couldn't get any blood , so was sent them the hospital path lab , good job my friend has been on hand today with lifts here here and everywhere ! Path lab got blood straight away , so know I'm back home and have to go bk to the doctors this evening for results on the blood test .... Can feel an early night coming on lol

Hope it all sorts itself out soon.
You will definitely need that early night after all the running around. Would be so much easier if they still did doctors rounds!

Glad to hear you got the all clear. I get very breathless too but think it's only because I'm getting so unfit sitting horizontal for weeks and not really moving much. It will take me forever to get back to normal fitness levels.
Every time I go a walk and have to walk up hill I struggle, even with little hills.
When I swim I have to rest between each length. Very occasionally manage 2 Lengths. So it takes me around 30 minutes to do 12 lengths.
They say it takes months for the body to recover properly from anesthetic. Hope it's nothing more serious.
Take care,

From all I have read here especially, don't overextend yourself. I know we have a long wait to feel normal again, which was new to me only AFTER surgery and coming here. The last thing any of us want is to have all this work in vain from lifting and/or from doing too much or even from constipation, which can be a huge problem. I read where one lady's bladder fell down to it's original pre-surgery area, so everything, including the pain, expenses, etc., was wasted from overdoing it though in her case, she started exercising too early and not taking it easy.
I'm in the US and I received no literature on what we should and could not do. That amazes me with this being such serious surgery. This site in just a few days has taught me a lot!
Anyway, sorry to be so long. I just hope you feel better and are very gentle on yourself.
