What Age did your symptoms start

Hello all. In hindsight when did you all first notice your bph/prostate symptoms? How old were you? Did symptoms develop slowly or was it all of a sudden? how long did you wait before going to a doctor? i think it would be super helpful to hear about your experiences from the onset. Thanks guys

    Noticed stream getting weaker: 50.

Started going to urologist after slow, continuous urination decline: 56.

Briefly (2 months) tried managing symptoms with Tamsulosin and Rapaflo: 58

Blood in urine, had bladder stones removed: 62

Rezum procedure done to open things up: 62

I am currently 66. My IPSS score is now 14, with "weak stream" contributing 5 points to my score. So I'm not doing too bad. However, I expect that I'll be doing another Rezum in a year or so.

I thought I had symptoms at 50. Turned out it was bladder spasms. I think it was early 60s when it became obvious that BPH was setting in. I was on generic cardura until 2019 when I had a TURP. Best thing I ever did. Not only did I stop doxazosin, I was able to stop the bladder spasm meds also.
