what is this? please help asap!!! (pic)

(i have ghsv1 confirmed - i haven't had in outbreak in a long time and i am wondering if this is my second outbreak or not. help would be greatly appreciated as i would like to know more about my obs and when to avoid sex, as i am seeing my S/O this weekend)

i noticed a pretty raised bump on my butt while i was showering.

it didnt hurt to the touch - it was a little squishy but unable to be popped. the area around it was also red.

i thought it was a pimple, so i aggressively tried to pop it and it was painful afterwards.

the next day, the raised bump began to scab (i'm assuming because i tried to pop it but unsure). the bump is still raised and the scab is on top of it. from what i've read, herpes is not typically raised (especially in the way that mine was - it was pretty big, bigger than a pimple and bigger than a wart). i also know though, that herpes is a tricky virus and it varies wildly in presentation.

i am attaching a picture of the before scabbing and after scabbing.

please help me out - i have a getaway with a significant other this weekend and i need to know whether or not we should abstain from sex.

      yea just one lesion.

i've read stories of people only having 1 lesion so that worries me. i will look at your post and see if it looks familiar to anything i have seen
