What are the chances I could be pregnant or that this is just perimenopause? I'm 38 (39 in 3 months). I have no kids.
My last period started 2/8/19. I had protected (well briefly it wasn't) sex 2/16/19. My cycle average is 31 days. And I'm not on the pill.
I have had extremely light spotting on and off for the past 7 days but period still hasn't come - like I dont even need to use anything. I have taken many pregnancy tests but all are negative. I keep feeling like period is going to start but it hasn't yet. You know, pressure in pelvic area. Also habe had cramping. Usually my period starts a day or two after spotting but it hasn’t yet.
I worry about ectopic pregnancy because ive had one before. I do have an appt. with my gyno this Thursday to check on my fibroids, she is going to do an ultrasound. So in the meantime I'm worrying because of spotting and cramping for the past 7 days.
How likely that this is just perimenopause? And how likely is it pregnancy (possibly ectopic)?

This is exactly how my peri started at 39. I am now 48. I was so worried that I was pregnant and maybe my worrying made it worse. I finally started two weeks late and that was the beginning of all of the symptoms and very eratic periods. Even now I never know when I will start and I can have PMS for weeks before it does come. Here lately Im always feeling like Im going to start. Some are so heavy that I dont even want to go anywhere because it just floods and then some only last half a day. Its all very weird and very frustrating. I hope everything turns out ok for you. Hang in there.

Thanks for your reply!
My periods are usually so regular. Spotting for 2-3 days then heavy flow for 3 days, then light flow to spotting for 3-4 days. But this time its just spotting for 7 days! I have a flushed face feeling today now. But took my temp and its only 98.8. And just not feeling well today. My mom says perimenopause because she went through it in her 30s. I just want my hormones to level off. And I get super anxiety worrying that maybe I'm pregnant. Although another negative test this morning.

Sounds like it's peri, especially if your mother started at your age, but good you are going to the doctor to get checked. Try not to worry!

Well, it seems as if things are repeating. About a year and a half ago I had the same thing happen. I went to the doctor. She saw abnormally thick lining and what she thinks is a polyp. She did a biopsy. Won't know results until Monday. However, the difference is that last time, my period started and it was very heavy. However, this time it still hasn't started. So my lining is just really thick. Ugh. Hate going through this. And I'm still spotting. I did have some bleeding yesterday night after the biopsy, but now it is just spotting again. I had a blood test (quantitative) pregnancy and urine pregnancy test, both negative, so definitely not that.

Maybe try some progesterone.
