Hello everyone, I was wondering if we could speak about type of implant that was installed at the day of the operation. The doctor instalkedca Stryker Dual Mobility Hip on me and I am now on day 5 post op and day 1 in rehab. So far so good.

The pain has been minimal so far. I get my staples removed in about 10 days. I was able to walk 300 steps yesterday with a walker. Still getting used to this hip. If you are considering getting one replaced, speak to your doctor about this particular hip implant as it is supposed to have minimal dislocation risk and will give you a better range of motion.

Hi Ricky, My new revision is the same as yours and hoping for a good outcome. But mine is the second revision and I've got tissue loss do to corrosion of my previous THR. I'm 3 months on. Do you find that yours clincks and cluncks a lot? I know I've got a lot of fluid around the joint, but wondered if this was a 'feature' of this model.

Hope you continue with a good recovery . PatsyX

Hi Patsy, I really haven't had enough time to use my new hip to test drive it. LOL! I'm actually five days post op in the hospital doing therapy. I promise to give you an update as soon as I have something to tell you. I hope you're doing well. Take care!
