What was targeted by surgeon and where did you end up?

I thought we can have everyones outcome in one place. Operated eyes only. So follow this pattern if you want to play...

LE Target was -1.25

LE Outcome was -1.50

Comment- Happy accident. We were too chicken to target -1.65. Although if we had really gone for -1.65 and it had ended up at around -2.0 then that would not have been good either!

    LE Target was -0.0

    LE Outcome was +0.5

    RE Target was 0.0

    RE Outcome was -0,25

Comment: I believe shooting over the target with edof lens gives more visual side effects than intended.

    RE target plano

    RE outcome plano

Astigmatism 6 weeks after surgery was .25 and at last checkup was 0

    LE target plano

    LE outcome -025

Astigmatism was .50 after surgery and at last checkup increased to .75

EDOF Symfony lenses implanted both eyes

Pleased with results. Don't need glasses - see well from 11 inches to distance

LE will need to be examined as everything a bit blurry - thinking pco combined maybe with astigmatism. Both eyes open all is clear. Noticeable if I close RE.

i should also add that I was told target was plano but perhaps my surgeon targeted something different to achieve that result. At that time knew less than I do now about targets.

    1st surgery (monofocal IOLs)

RE Target was probably plano. I just specified I wanted distance.

    RE Outcome +.5

    LE Target again probably plano

    LE Outcome +.25

    Lens Exchange (monofocal IOLs)

    RE Target -.4/-.5

RE Outcome -.25 at one week postop

    LE TBD

Comments - you get much more usable vision if you target slighly myopic. You should at least do it in one eye.

A result is considered good if its within 0.5D of the target I was told.

Be aware beyond the spherical power, some residual astigmatism can get added due to the unpredictablility of how the corneal incision heals.

That was the case for my right eye, the power ended up plano (target was -0.25D) but got higher residual astigmatism expected (1.0D cylinder). I was told 0.5D cylinder is the typical result.

So I get about 20/25 uncorrected now, but with eyeglasses correcting the astigmatism can get 20/15 or even better at times.
