So I went to the docs with constant feeling nausea along with feeling constantly on edge / fearful of everything and super tired these symptoms are constant from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep. They gave me 20mg cit but told me to cut in half for 5 days so effectively take 10mg for first 5 days then start taking the full 20mg tablet after that. I'm on day 3 and have the same symptoms but somehow they seem slightly amplified some How but now have added bonus of feeling depressed and not wanting to live if this is how I am going to feel.. I'm wondering if I should increase the dose after only 5 days or should I continue on 10mg for a while longer ? Just feel so sick and down can't do anything not going to work can't seem to stay out of bed for more than a few hours before getting exhausted and to upset and miserable to want to do anything. Any advice ?

The meds will heighten your symptoms at first so that’s why you feel worse at the moment. Personally I wouldn’t increase after a few days as every increase will give you symptoms again, and maybe make you feel a little worse. 5 days isn’t long enough for your brain to adapt to the meds - I believe it’s something like 4-5 weeks. I’m not a doctor and only go by my own experience.
Some people even start on 5mg, and many recover on 10mg. I recovered on 20mg.
It’s always worse at the start - it does get better.

I'm very much considering to continue to cut the 20mg pills in half for 2 weeks until my next doctors appointment but am concerned the docs will be mad I havnt done what they suggested. On the other hand if I've only been on them for 4 days would the increase up to 20 mg really be much worse than what I'm feeling now on 10mg.?

They shouldn't be made - its your body after all They help to guide you but you do whats comfortable for you.
Everyone is different and so react differently to doses. Some people tolerate it better than others. It can feel much worse increasing to 20 because its double the dose - but on the other hand you may not notice the difference in side effects to the 10mg.
Many people recover on 10mg - some 20mg, some 30mg. You won't recover any quicker on a bigger dose than you would on a smaller one - its all about what dose suits you personally. Its not about the dose but its about allowing your brain to adjust to each dose slowly.
10mg could work for you - you don't always need a larger dose. You won't get there any quicker

So I bottled it and have continued cutting the 20mg in half but now I'm worried that 10mg is not enough for me to recover
