When will symptoms improve?

I am still dealing with flu like symptoms from Prozac as described in my previous posts. I only took 4 pills total. I know Prozac has a long half life. When will I feel relief?

Hi Jeff- I took Prozac on Wednesday for the first time and felt okay. Thursday I felt fine too. Friday, when I took my third dose, I got soooo sick. diarreah, throwing up, head ache, and massive anxiety. my psychiatrist took me off of it immediately. so I have only had 3 doses of 10mg. I didn't take the meds today and I still feel TERRIBLE. Did your doctor give you any ideas for relief???

I’m so sorry to hear that, Jill.  My last one was Wednesday morning and I’m still recovering. He didn’t give me any ideas. He said i could take klonopin but I haven’t since I’ve felt like passing out already, don’t want to feel more sedated. I was supposed to see him yesterday but he called off sick so I have to wait until Monday. He said at my last appt he would try Zoloft if this didn’t work but now I’m terrified of meds because this is awful.

I only took for 3 days.

When you say recovering, are you a lot better or just barely? Any idea how long this will take to go away?

I took 4 pills over a week cuz he told me to take 20mg every 2-3 days.

Just barely. This afternoon has been ok, this morning was awful.

Hi Jeff- just wanting to see how you are doing at this point. I’ve been off the prozac now for 4 days and feeling better finally. Not perfect, but better. I still had some anxiety today, but nothing like before. My psychiatrist said it should be completely out of my system in 10 days.

      How are you today?
