White mucus under sore tongue (Leukoplakia???)

Posted , 2 users are following.

Ive recently taken a closer look under my tongue due to it feeling rough/dry and sore for the past few days and found a patch of white mucus. I was able to wipe portions of it off but there's a layer that wont come off. I tried wiping it off again this morning and there's red spots that feel sore underneath.

Is this leukoplakia??? I cannot tell what this is for the life of me please help. I do not smoke or drink alcohol and my tongue feels like I just burned it.

UPDATE:

So using my toothbrush I was able to scrape of the stubborn bits of white off under my tongue but now there's light bleeding there.

UPDATE 2:

Ive left it alone for about a day and the white is starting to return. Tongue is still sore and tingly.
