White spots in mouth

Hi

I've currently got 3 white spots in my mouth that are relatively painful and they have been there for a couple of days now. I have one on the tip of my tongue and 2 on my gums, they are quite small but are causing me discomfort, i'm worried as for the past month i have had on and off pains in my mouth which sometimes led me not being able to swallow without it hurting.

They could be pus pockets from an infection you have that you should see a doctor about if your feeling sick too. Although I've never seen them where you have them. I've only seen them on the back of the throat.

Or it could be thrush which does not typically show up unless you use steriods such as an inhaler or something like predisone. But I would think if you were on a steriod you would know all about the dangers of thrush. However, your description sound more like thrush then anything else I know of.

My first thought was thrush but I believe you can have problems with taste buds. I know for certain that tastebuds can become infected or just damaged. Good luck I can just imagine the discomfort and the tongue making matters worse. Salt water mouth washes or a medicated one. Good luck.
