Why did it take so long to over come my panic attack.

Hello everyone, I've posted in the past about certain things with anxiety, but I wanted to raise this question, why did it take about 2-3 months to physically overcome my first full blown panic attack?

    Tim,

I think some researchers said the actual attack is less than 10 minutes.  But I think it's more like half hour and can be retriggered daily.  SSRI meds may stop that but they can take a couple months to work, is that what you meant?

Well mentally I just couldn't overcome it because I didn't know what it was. But when I researched stuff online and linked the symptoms with mine and I started to get better. But it made me feel awful in so many ways. Loss of upper body strength, dizzy, high pulse rate, jumpiness, palps. So much stuff
