So I have a almost healed cold sore on my lip. And me and my boyfriend have been making out today as he says if he gets it, its ok. Well, my partner then went down on me, while I forgot that I have a 97% healed cold sore. I know you can still shed around this time. SO now i am freaking out of course. Does anyone know if my partner could have transferred it to my genitals in a matter of hours?

I also hear that if you have one type of HSV, for example I have HSV 1 orally.... then it is harder, aka more impossible to get it again, therefore I would not have HSV genitally (could still get HSV 2 tho) bc of the antibodies ur body has made up throughout the years? Is this correct?

Sweetie you can 100% get genital herpes from a cold sore. I see this in my work alot you can have both oral and genital.
